FAQ

Is my contract uploaded?

The original file is never uploaded. Text is extracted locally in your browser and only the text (up to 20,000 characters) is sent to the AI service for extraction. Contract content is not stored and not used for model training.

Am I charged if extraction fails?

No. We pre-authorize a worst-case amount, then settle against real usage (refund the difference). If the AI output cannot be parsed into valid JSON, or the service is unavailable, the hold is fully released and you are not charged.

Which fields are extracted?

Parties, effective date, amounts (with currency), payment terms, key deadlines, renewal terms, termination and governing law. Unrecognized fields return empty values — nothing is invented.

Does it work with scanned contracts?

Scanned PDFs usually have no text layer. Run the OCR tool first to create a searchable text layer, then extract with this tool.

Can I use the output programmatically?

Yes — copy or download the JSON. The schema is fixed (parties/amounts/deadlines/paymentTerms/renewalTerms/termination/governingLaw) for straightforward integration.
