Object Streams

Это содержимое пока не доступно на вашем языке.

A PDF is a collection of numbered objects — page resources, fonts, metadata, content — and an object stream is a compressed container that packs many of those objects into one stream. Files written with uncompressed, individually-listed objects are larger than they need to be, and editors that append updates make the situation worse with each save. Compressing object streams is a size change with no visible change.

A 60-page text report saved repeatedly by an editing application, where every save appended new structures instead of consolidating them. Rebuilding the object streams removes the redundant layers and packs the remaining objects — the report renders identically, every word in place, while the file becomes substantially smaller.
