What is it?Fill PDF Form is a PDFLean security & privacy tool: Auto-detect PDF interactive form (AcroForm) fields, fill text fields, checkboxes, or radio buttons, then export flattened (default) or with the fields still editable — runs entirely in your browser.

TL;DR: Auto-detect PDF interactive form (AcroForm) fields, fill text fields, checkboxes, or radio buttons, then export flattened (default) or with the fields still editable. Everything runs locally in your browser — your file is never uploaded and is cleared upon closing the page; only interactive AcroForms are supported.

About this tool

A focused utility built for a single recurring document task. Auto-detect PDF form fields, fill text/checkboxes, then download flattened (default) or with the fields still editable — fully local. Processing runs locally in your browser's memory — the document is never transmitted, and closing the tab clears it completely. The workflow is deliberately short: load the file, choose the options on the page, run the operation, and save the result. Every choice is applied before the file is written, so re-running with different settings takes seconds. Practical limits apply (see the on-page limits), and it pairs well with the related tools linked beside this page when one step is not the whole job. Key facts — Processing: runs entirely in your browser, client-side; Access: free with no account required; File limits: see the on-page limits; Privacy: the file never leaves the device.

FAQ

Will my file be uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your file is never uploaded and is cleared upon closing the page.

Are there any limits?

Only interactive AcroForms are supported; scanned forms must be made searchable (OCR) first.

Is the filled form data secure?

Everything runs locally in your browser; your input values and form data are never sent to any server and are cleared upon closing the page.

Can I process multiple files in bulk?

A single tool page handles one task at a time; for bulk work use the Batch Processing workflow and add this tool as a step to run a whole set at once.

Is the processed file still editable?

It depends on the output mode you choose: the default Flatten bakes the filled values into the page content, so the output copy's fields can no longer be edited interactively — nobody can change the answers afterwards; with Keep fields editable, the output keeps fillable AcroForm fields so you or others can keep adjusting. Neither mode modifies your original file.
